HarryPlaying games can be fun. We have seen some of the games that people play around the world on the modern pastimes page.

CecileWhy not have a go at making up your own game? Read through this page and see how your game could win you a prize!

JackThere are a few things you need to think about when designing your game. What type of game is it? Is it a board game, or a game for the playground? Is it a game for younger or older children? To find out about different types of sports games go to www.sportengland.org.

CecileDoes your game need any special equipment to play it?

HarryWrite down the instructions for your game to explain how to play it. Are there any special rules for playing? Remember to say how many people can play at once, and very importantly how you can win.

Why not try out your game with friends? You can test to see if it works and change the rules if needed.Jack

CecileNow that you have thought about your game, write down the details on a piece of paper. Send or email* your game to us! You could win one of the CD computer games, 'Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego' and 'The Amazon Trail'!!
