Activity 1
Anh
has experienced lots of different episodes
in her life, some of them when she was
very young. In the boxes below, there
are parts of her story. Can you remember
how old she was during each part of
the story? In each box, there are three
choices for how old Anh was at the time.
Drag your cursor over the one that you
think is correct, and see if you are
right!
Fighting in Vietnam forced Anh and her family
to flee to China. They became refugees.
Anh left
her parents and travelled in a tiny fishing
boat with her sister and many others. Eventually,
they reached Hong Kong.
After
five years in a refugee camp in Hong Kong,
Anh and Kim flew to London to begin a new
life in England.
When they returned
to China to visit, Anh and Kim were re-united
with the rest of their family for the first
time in 11 years.
Anh went
back to Vietnam with her sister to visit her
grandmother and to meet their cousins.

Imagine
that you work for a film company from
Hollywood that wants to turn Anh and
Kim's story into a film. Design your
own 'storyboard' to show the tale of
the two sisters to plan out the different
scenes in the film. You could add drawings
as well as writing.
