Introduction
Harry " Mexico is the fourteenth largest country in the world, more than eight times bigger than the United Kingdom. It is the southernmost country of North America. To the north is the USA; to the south are the two small Central American countries of Guatemala and Belize. The Pacific Ocean lies along the west coast, with the Gulf of Mexico to the east. The Tropic of Cancer, 22 1/2 degrees North of the Equator, cuts across the middle of Mexico. The capital, Mexico City, has a population of over 17 million people, making it one of the world's largest cities."

Cecille Cecille " The National Flag dates back to the War of Independence between Mexico and Spain which ended in 1821. The three colours are: green for independence, white for religion and red for union. On the middle white section is Mexico's national emblem, an eagle with a snake in its beak standing on a cactus. The emblem comes from Aztec legend. Mexico has a very long and interesting history and was home to many powerful civilizations including the Olmecs, Mayans and Aztecs."
