Meet Jose Assuncao.
He lives with his family on the edge of Manaus,
the Brazilian city on the bank of the river Amazon.
Jose has lived in the area all his life. He has
taken many tourists on boat trips to explore the
Amazon region, and he has Indian friends who live
deeper in the rainforest. Jose also has lots of
experience in how to use the river and its surrounding
rainforest in ways which do not damage the natural
environment. |
