Pupils at the Little Flower School in Belfast, N. Ireland were keen to set up a link with other pupils of a similar age (11-13) on another island that has experienced conflict. After contacts between one of their local parishes and a parish in Fiji, the Little Flower School were put in touch with pupils at the Holy Family School in Labasa, a town on Vanua Levu, one of Fiji's bigger islands. To start the link, pupils at each school made a video to introduce themselves. Pupils now exchange letters with their own pen pals. After a fund-raising drive by the Little Flower School and three other Belfast schools, there is enough money to buy a computer and internet link for the Holy Family School in Labasa. This way, pupils can communicate electronically in the future.

The Little Flower School have produced displays to show how their link with the Holy Family School is developing.
