Why
do Fiji and Tuvalu have the Union Jack on
their flags?
to go to our flag page for larger versions
of the flags. |
Both
these countries are members of the Commonwealth.
There are 54 Commonwealth countries in all.
In the past they were all colonies
of the UK. Today, they still share English
as a common working language, and they keep
other links too. The Queen is still the
head of state in Tuvalu, and you can still
see the Queen's head on coins in Fiji.
