Work and Industry
Where People Work Mexico has quite a lot of useful natural resources e.g. oil, gas, copper and silver. Its tropical climate also supports a wide range of crops e.g. coffee, cocoa, beans, maize and tomatoes. Many of these resources provide the raw materials for Mexico's industries.

The pie charts show the proportions of people working in each type of work. A hundred years ago most people would have been employed in agriculture. Today, many more work in factories or in service industries. One of the most important service industries today is tourism.
Harry Where People Work " Over 6 million people visit Mexico every year, most of them from the USA and Canada. Tourists enjoy the fine weather, the spectacular ruins of the Mayans and Aztecs and the old Spanish colonial cities.largest cities."

Cecille " Exports are things a country makes or produces to sell to other countries. Imports are things a country has to buy from other countries"
